Visit the site of the Battle of Hastings,see the Abbey and walk on the actual Battlefield
The Battle of Hastings took place on 14th October 1066 and it was an event which is so significant that it completely changed the course of English history. The Battle took place at Senlac Hill which is located approximately 10km from our College. Battle Abbey was built on the site of the battle and to this day people can visit the abbey and walk across the actual battlefield.
Every year there is a re-enactment of the battle so that you can really see and almost relive what happened.
