Situated in the south-east of England, near Cooden Beach, Cooden College offers its students comfortable classrooms and warm, well-appointed lounges making it the ideal centre for an energetic and enjoyable experience, whilst at the same time your child's English improves day by day. We also enjoy the use of the nearby sports centre, beach and water sports centre

COMFORTABLE LODGINGS
Children stay with suitable local host families. The children would stay in rooms with between 2 and 4 beds. There are ample toilets and showers. Fresh linen is guaranteed. Once your child has enrolled, Cooden College will inform you of any additional arrangements necessary, concerning, for example, clothing, medical records etc.

EASY COMMUNICATION
Children are, of course, given time to write home. Parents may contact a representative of Cooden College, the Course Director or their child by telephone, fax or e-mail at any time.

ATTENDING THE COLLEGE
The Children are brought to the College by a member of their host family where they will spend the majority of their day before returning to their host family for the evening.

DYNAMIC, PERSONALISED LESSONS
The children will take a test on their first day so that their level of English can be assessed and they will then join the appropriate class with students of the same level. The classes consist of between 4 and 12 students. The English teachers, therefore, have the opportunity to know each individual child, to build up their confidence and motivate them to make progress.

SPORTS, ACTIVITIES, EXCURSIONS AND DAYS OUT
Every afternoon our leaders organise activities, either at the Centre itself or elsewhere. The Multi-Media Room is available to all our students where they can enjoy unlimited access to the internet and games. They are always supervised by a trained leader. We have a minibus available for all our journeys. Every effort is made to ensure the childrens well-being and that the days they spend with us are well balanced.

HELPFUL, QUALIFIED AND AVAILABLE STAFF
We employ a team consisting of teachers, leaders, a health-assistant, swimming attendant and duty personnel. A Course Director is at the centre every day. The staff know your child individually and will supervise the students to make sure that their stay is trouble-free.
